Both policies cover private premises. They do not grant access to the adjoining beach or establish an off-lead or dog-swimming area.
Public sand and promenades
No current official beach-by-beach dog rule was found in the municipal searches of 1 August and 8 September 2026. Access is therefore unresolved, rather than confirmed or banned. This includes commonly mentioned Dongtan, Jomtien, Wongamat and Bang Saray: seeing other dogs is not permission.
Check the exact place
- Give the responsible authority the beach name, access point and date.
- Ask which parts permit dogs, and about lead, waste or time restrictions. For Pattaya City locations, the city publishes Contact Center 1337.
- Read entrance and on-beach signs on arrival, including temporary restrictions. Choose a confirmed private venue if the public-space answer remains unclear.
General outing safety
Carry water and waste bags, keep your dog on a lead and leave space around other people and animals. Avoid hot surfaces and end the outing if your dog is distressed. Ask a vet about symptoms or an individual dog’s exercise needs.
